Capcom’s 2019 remake of Resident Evil 2 will be streaming on Apple devices on December 31st. Considered by many to be one of the best games of 2019, the Resident Evil 2 remake modernized the 1998 original with a new third-person perspective and incredible visuals thanks to the RE engine. In recent years, Capcom has brought several of its best-selling Resident Evil games to Apple devices, with Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 remakes both making the jump last year. This summer, 2017’s Resident Evil 7: Biohazard followed suit but with less than impressive sales results. The Resident Evil games aren’t the only ones taking this approach, as other major triple-A publishers are also porting their games to Apple products. Sony’s 2019 hit Death Stranding and the latest Assassin’s Creed
Ubisoft’s Mirage are both available on the platform.

While most of Capcom’s best-selling creations and iconic Resident Evil titles are now available on Apple devices, there is also a modern remake that Capcom seems to have overlooked.
